Think Climate Coalition Meeting

Think Climate Indonesia Project coalition, supported by the Think Tank International Institute, IDRC and the Oak Foundation, is entering a new beginning. On 21, 22 and 27 July 2021, IDRC collaborated with an international facilitating institution, Inclusive Innovation to bring together IDRC, Oak Foundation and beneficiary partners (KEMITRAAN, WRI, PATTIRO, KotaKita and Inobu by holding the Inception Meeting.

The main purpose of this Inception meeting is to equalize perceptions, share knowledge, initiatives and plans that will be carried out in implementing the activities of each partner. On the other hand, this event is also intended for building togetherness of partners and getting to know each other, so that they can collaborate together in building a coalition atmosphere that is conducive and supports each other to achieve the goals of this initiative.

The opening of the Inception Workshop began with remarks from Mélanie Robertson Ph.D, Program Specialist from IDRC and PIC from Project Think Climate Indonesia, followed by a series of keynotes from Anindya Chatterjee, IDRC Asia Regional Office Director; Santiago Alba Corral, IDRC Climate-Resilient Food System, Program Director; Sahba Chauhan, Climate Engagement Program Manager IKEA Foundation, previously served as Climate and Energy Program Officer at the Oak Foundation. Then it was continued with the introduction of the teams from each of the beneficiary partner organizations. The approach of this event was very unique and collaborative. Starting from the substance that encourages futuristic thinking about climate change, identifying the uniqueness and strengths of the organization, as well as strengthening presentation techniques equipped with various tips, input discussions, feedback from facilitators, IDRC and fellow partners. This event is also equipped with an interactive platform kisstorm, kahoot and other interesting videos.

At the end, all participants gave a positive message that the event had created common interests, visions and missions among partners. In addition, this event was successful in generating collaborative ideas to share knowledge, experience and manage research activities in each organization.
