About the Positions
KEMITRAAN is inviting individual consultants to apply for the position of Gender Specialist Consultant for REDD+ Central Sulawesi Province to support the implementation of the Results-Based Payment (RBP) Green Climate Fund (GCF) Program in Central Sulawesi.
This position aims to support the development of implementation, monitoring, and reporting guidelines related to Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) safeguards within the REDD+ Safeguard Information System (SIS REDD+) in Central Sulawesi Province.
Background
The RBP GCF Output 2 Program in Central Sulawesi supports the strengthening of environmental and forestry governance through the implementation of social and environmental safeguards, including the GEDSI approach. This approach is essential to ensure that climate change policies and activities, including REDD+, are implemented in a fair, inclusive, and socially responsible manner, particularly for vulnerable and marginalized groups.
To support the implementation of the Central Sulawesi SIS REDD+, which is integrated with the national system, KEMITRAAN requires an expert with strong competence in developing GEDSI frameworks and guidelines to support safeguard implementation at the provincial level.
Scope of Work
The consultant will be responsible for:
- Preparing a detailed work plan and implementation methodology;
- Coordinating and consulting with KEMITRAAN and the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government;
- Conducting data collection and analysis related to GEDSI implementation in REDD+;
- Developing the GEDSI implementation guideline document for SIS REDD+ Central Sulawesi;
- Serving as a resource person/facilitator in activities related to SIS REDD+ and GEDSI;
- Supporting supervision of RBP GCF Central Sulawesi program reporting;
- Documenting all implementation processes and activities.
Deliverables
The consultant is expected to produce:
- An Inception Report containing the agreed work plan and methodology; \
- A Guideline Document on GEDSI Implementation within SIS REDD+ Central Sulawesi;
- A Process Report documenting the implementation activities.
Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, public policy, social science, or community development;
- At least 5 years of experience in developing GEDSI-related policies or programs;
- Experience working on gender and natural resource issues;
- Experience collaborating with the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government and related stakeholders;
- Strong understanding of social and environmental safeguards within climate change or REDD+ programs.
Assignment Duration
The assignment period will be 2 (two) months or 60 calendar days.
