Position Summary
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager provides strategic financial planning, analysis, and business partnering to support informed decision-making, effective resource allocation, and financial sustainability across the organization. The role leads budgeting, forecasting, financial performance analysis, and management reporting, delivering timely insights to senior management and the Board to support strategic and operational decisions.
The FP&A Manager partners closely with Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and Program teams to strengthen financial planning, staff cost allocation, and budget management, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. The role also supports proposal budgeting, donor financial planning, and ad hoc financial analysis to enhance organizational performance and financial stewardship.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead organizational budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Develop financial models and analytical tools to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor budget utilization, expenditure trends, burn rates, and financial performance.
- Coordinate monthly financial reviews and organization-wide FP&A processes.
Staff Cost Allocation & Donor Compliance
- Review donor agreements and project budgets to ensure appropriate allocation of headquarters personnel costs.
- Maintain and manage Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) and Level of Effort (LOE) allocation databases.
- Prepare monthly staff cost allocation schedules and timesheet coding.
- Review expenditure reallocations to ensure compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies.
- Identify and improve staff cost allocation processes and internal controls.
Budget Management & Business Partnering
- Support proposal budget preparation in accordance with donor requirements.
- Assist programme teams in budget revisions and realignments.
- Conduct funding gap analysis and provide financial recommendations to senior management.
- Provide financial advisory support to departments and project teams.
Financial Control
- Monitor project and fund balances to ensure financial accuracy.
- Identify and resolve budget errors, mischarging, and unposted transactions.
- Monitor accounts receivable and coordinate timely follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
Applicants should have:
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in financial management, grants management, programme finance, or financial oversight within NGOs, development organizations, consulting firms, or corporate environments.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience working with financial planning and budget control systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in complex and matrix organizational structures.
- Good understanding of donor financial regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Languages
- Excellent written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
