Agustin Teras Narang

Governor of Central Kalimantan Province
Before being elected Governor in 2005, Agustin Teras Narang was a member of the House of Representatives for the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle for two consecutive terms. The former lawyer has been the representative for Kapuas District and was the Chair of Commission II of the Parliament during his first term, and Chair of Commission III during his brief second term.
Born in 1955 in Banjarmasin, Narang began his career after graduating from the Law Faculty of Christian University of Indonesia in Jakarta in early 1980s.
