Executive Director​

Nurina Widagdo holds a Master of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Oregon, USA, and a bachelor’s degree in English teaching from Atma Jaya Catholic University in Jakarta, Indonesia. With over three decades of experience in international development, she brings deep expertise in governance, sustainable development, and stakeholder engagement.

Throughout her career, Nurina has worked with various institutions, including Oxfam, UNDP, GIZ, Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), the World Bank and Asian Development Bank as well NGOs and foundations in Indonesia, Asia and the Pacific and USA. Her expertise is in governance with key roles in the enhancement of accountability mechanisms for multilateral development banks (MDBs), deepening democracy and good governance in Indonesia, strengthening health governance in the Pacific, promoting South-South and Triangular Cooperation and Peer-to-Peer Learning globally, and recently working on the governance of climate finance.

As Executive Director of KEMITRAAN Partnership of Governance Reform, Nurina leads efforts to promote transparent, inclusive, and accountable governance in Indonesia and beyond, in the areas of climate finance and climate adaptation and mitigation; environmental and sustainable governance; and democracy, justice and public services.
