Programme Background
The Pekalongan Adaptation Fund (AF) Program is a collaboration between KEMITRAAN and the Government of Pekalongan City, supported by the Adaptation Fund, and implemented from 2021 to 2026. The program aims to strengthen the resilience of coastal communities to the impacts of climate change and disasters through the development of sustainable livelihoods, institutional strengthening, and community economic empowerment.
Job Purpose
The Junior Project Officer (JPO) Comdev – Livelihood will support the implementation of community-based sustainable livelihood activities, facilitate and mobilize target community groups, and strengthen collaboration with local stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Mobilize and assist community groups (fisherfolk groups, cooperatives, community organizations, tourism awareness groups, etc.) in implementing sustainable livelihood activities.
- Organize and oversee training activities to support livelihood recovery and strengthening in target villages.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with government institutions, NGOs, academics, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support the PMU in preparing and implementing work plans and annual work plans.
- Prepare periodic progress reports on livelihood-related activities.
- Support the implementation and documentation of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) processes and handover of project assets.
- Work closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) unit to ensure proper monitoring of activities.
- Ensure all project-related administrative requirements are fulfilled, including beneficiary data disaggregated by gender and vulnerable groups.
- Support the management of project contractual matters in coordination with relevant units within KEMITRAAN.
Expected Outputs
- Daily activity timesheets in accordance with the employment contract.
- Monthly progress reports on livelihood-related outputs of the AF Pekalongan Program.
- Supporting data for the PMU, including beneficiary information, activity achievements, and target progress.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in development studies, economics, social sciences, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in livelihood-related sectors, such as sustainable fisheries, ecotourism, agriculture, MSMEs, circular finance, waste management, entrepreneurship, community empowerment, or local economic development.
- Proven experience in facilitating economic inclusion for vulnerable and marginalized groups and working with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to organizational and project regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
