Pekalongan City in Central Java is facing the impacts of climate change. Tidal floods (rob) are submerging settlements, devastating residents’ livelihoods, and threatening the cultural heritage of batik. Air Mata Air is a story of resilience—how groups of women, youth, and the city government unite to build a climate-resilient city. This film is part of a program implemented by KEMITRAAN in collaboration with the Pekalongan City Government, Central Java Province, and the Directorate General of Climate Change Control-Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), with funding support from the Adaptation Fund.
