Overview
Pekalongan Climate Change Adaptation Program is a collaboration between KEMITRAAN and the Protecting-Preserving-Conserving Towards Climate Resilience Program through the Adaptation Fund (AF) in Pekalongan City. This program aims to strengthen community adaptation to the impacts of climate change and natural disasters. One of its key initiatives is the development of urban farming as a sustainable solution.
In 2024, the program initiated its first phase by working with community partners to provide basic training on plant cultivation in limited spaces and introduce organic farming systems. However, several technical and operational challenges remain. Therefore, KEMITRAAN is inviting consultants to enhance technical assistance in urban farming management.
Objective:
This activity aims to build the capacity of urban farming groups in Pekalongan City so they can manage sustainable urban farming systems both technically and economically while integrating agriculture-based economic aspects. (ToR Attached)
