The Pekalongan Adaptation Fund (AF) has been running for approximately 2 years, since the kick off meeting held on July 15, 2021. The AF Pekalongan program focuses on three main issues; protecting, sustaining and preserving Pekalongan’s coastal areas from the impacts of climate change and natural disasters.
During the activity period, the AF Pekalongan team has conducted several activities in the two main targets of the program, namely government and civil society. At the community level, the program has carried out activities such as training for the village facilitator team, watching the movie SEMESTA together with the community in 8 villages in the AF Pekalongan program area, namely 7 villages in North Pekalongan sub-district and 1 village in West Pekalongan, and Nobar at the provincial level which was attended by representatives of high schools, communities and government. Together with Pekalongan youth communities, activities also include mangrove planting , urban farming and the formation of climate change adaptation working groups (Pokja API) with communities at the urban village level.
Ongoing activities have been documented in activity reports and other forms, both by Kelurahan Facilitators and the Pekalongan City PMU team, as part of the program’s due diligence to the Adaptation Fund (AF) as the donor. On the other hand, the program also has the responsibility to disseminate its achievements, results and work to the public at large. Therefore, it is important for programs to develop knowledge products that can be accessed and accepted by the public at large, and audio-visual products (films) are one alternative form of knowledge dissemination.
In the process, the filmmaking that will be carried out can also be part of capacity building for members of the Kelurahan API Working Group, assisted communities and young people in Pekalongan City in general. This activity will also involve the Pekalongan City film community and consultants to train the basics of filmmaking and the community filmmaking process.
Therefore, KEMITRAAN through PMU AF Pekalongan plans to tender for the needs of filmmaking, which will be carried out as part of capacity building for members of the Kelurahan API Working Group, assisted communities and young people in Pekalongan City in general. This activity will also involve the Pekalongan City film community and consultants to train the basics of filmmaking and the community filmmaking process.
