About the Project
KEMITRAAN (Partnership for Governance Reform) is implementing the Adaptation Fund (AF)–supported Pekalongan Project in collaboration with the Municipality of Pekalongan. The project addresses severe climate impacts on the northern coast of Central Java, focusing on coastal protection, community sanitation, alternative livelihoods, and strengthened climate adaptation policy.
Role Overview
The Project Team Leader will lead planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities, ensuring compliance with donor and KEMITRAAN standards. The role includes managing the Project Management Unit (PMU), coordinating with government and civil society partners, and ensuring quality results in the final year of project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
- Manage daily implementation, monitoring, and reporting to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Oversee grants, procurement, safeguards (ESMP/FGRM), and project closure.
- Supervise and mentor project staff, ensuring performance and compliance.
- Build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, CSOs, donors, and local stakeholders.
- Ensure timely financial reporting, donor communication, and visibility of project results.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in development project management, including 3 years in managerial roles.
- Proven track record leading multi-stakeholder implementation and managing field teams (≥10 people).
- Strong experience in project planning (AWP, procurement), donor reporting, financial stewardship, and safeguards.
- Familiarity with climate change, environmental governance, or related sectors; prior work with international organizations preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public administration, environmental management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (spoken & written).
