Through evidence-based research, strategic partnerships, and advocacy, KEMITRAAN aims to advance reforms that contribute to just and sustainable development in Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Established in September 2025, the <strong>Knowledge and Advocacy Center (KAC)<\/strong> is an initiative under KEMITRAAN that serves as a dynamic <em>think-and-do tank<\/em> to drive inclusive governance transformation in Indonesia and beyond. It integrates thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic innovation to bridge the gap between ideas and action\u2014turning evidence-based insights into practical reforms. Through research, policy advocacy, and dialogue, KAC advances reform-oriented ideas and fosters collaborative platforms that unite government, civil society, academia, the private sector, and media around shared governance agendas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a complex and evolving domestic, regional and global governance landscape. KAC plays a pivotal role in shaping and accelerating systemic change. By promoting knowledge-driven advocacy, building coalitions, and piloting impact-focused initiatives, KAC strengthens KEMITRAAN\u2019s mission to transform democratic governance from vision to implementation\u2014ensuring that reforms are informed, inclusive, and sustainable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enhance KAC\u2019s operational effectiveness and strengthen its research and coordination functions, KEMITRAAN seeks to engage an <strong>Intern<\/strong> who will assist with administrative management, event and meeting coordination, and research activities related to KAC\u2019s ongoing agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The internship is designed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide the Intern with work experience and exposure to non-profit sector activities:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gain practical experience in policy research, governance analysis, and advocacy support within a national reform institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop skills in administrative management, coordination, and policy documentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage directly with domestic and international governance practitioners, both governmental as well as non-governmental, and contribute to Kemitraan\u2019s efforts in advancing democratic governance and reform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support KAC\u2019s functioning within the KEMITRAAN organization, particularly in the areas of internal coordination, information and data management, and communications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support KAC\u2019s non-substantive day-to-day activities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>\u00a0KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the supervision of the <strong>KAC Senior Policy Expert,<\/strong> the Intern will undertake the following tasks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Research Assistance\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct desk research on topics relevant to KAC\u2019s policy and governance agenda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect and compile background materials, data, and references to support internal analyses and publications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to drafting short summaries, research notes, or background briefs as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordination Support\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in organizing and coordinating KAC meetings, workshops, and internal discussions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare and circulate invitation letters, agendas, and minutes of meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support logistical arrangements and maintain effective communication among KAC members and relevant units within KEMITRAAN.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communications Support\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collect and make available information, data, photos and other means, to be used for KEMITRAAN\u2019s external communications purposes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise with KEMITRAAN\u2019s Communications Team to ensure the Team receives information on KAC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administrative Support\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in developing and maintaining a structured filing and documentation system for KAC (both digital and physical formats).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure all reports, meeting notes, and relevant documents are properly organized and accessible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support other administrative tasks as needed to facilitate KAC operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>EXPECTED RESULTS<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Research notes or background materials compiled and submitted in support of KAC\u2019s ongoing workstreams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administration and coordination of KAC events are arranged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete set of meeting materials (invitations, agendas, and minutes) properly archived.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Materials for KAC external communications are prepared.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A functional KAC filing and documentation system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Graduate student (S2) in Political Science, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Communications, or other relevant discipline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interest in governance, democracy, and policy reform issues is highly desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GPA min 3.0.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficient in English: verbal and writing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness and openness to
