The meeting, which lasted for two hours, was intended to convey the latest update on the implementation plan of SIGAP, and also to accommodate the aspirations from Asset Recovery Center at AGO on the project implementation plan in the next two years.

The Capacity Strengthening of the Indonesian Government on Asset Recovery and Mutual Legal Assistance Program, is a joint cooperation between The Partnership and The International Law Development Organization (IDLO). The main objective of SIGAP is to improve the effectiveness of PPA AGO RI in performing cross-border asset recovery and mutual legal assistance management. This program will be the solution to transform AGO and other relevant agencies as capable agents to implement cross border asset recovery and MLA through two approaches: (a) Capacity development by leveraging the capacity of PPA as well as other relevant agencies on cross border Asset Recovery and MLA; and (b) Collaborative works improvement on cross border asset recovery and MLA by regular coordination among AGO and other related agencies
