KEMITRAAN as 2020 Think Tank with The Most Significant Impact on Public Policy

The Partnership for Governance Reform received international recognition. In the 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index (GGTTTI) Report, the Partnership is included in the 2020 Think Tank with The Most Significant Impact on Public Policy category, which is one of the civil society organizations capable of providing the most significant impact on public policy in Indonesia.

This index was developed by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) of the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, USA, which consistently conducts research on the role played by policy institutions in government and civil society around the world. Often referred to as a “think tank”, the TTCSP examines the evolving role and character of public policy research organizations.

Over the past 30 years, TTCSP has developed and led a series of global initiatives that have helped bridge the gap between knowledge and public policy such as international peace and security, globalization and governance, international economics, environmental issues, information and society, poverty alleviation, and global healthcare.

This international collaborative effort is designed to build a network of regional and international policy institutions and communities that improve policy making while strengthening democratic institutions and civil society around the world.

TTCSP collaborates with leading scholars and practitioners from think tanks and universities around the world, on collaborative efforts and programs and produces the annual Global Go To Think Tank Index that ranks the world’s leading think tanks in various categories. This index is often used to identify and recognize centers of excellence in policy research, forging knowledge and policy partnerships.

Quoted from the GGTTTI 2020 report, Director of TTCPS James G. McGann expressed his very high appreciation for the support provided by more than 11,000 Think Tank institutions, as well as 3,974 academics, journalists, policy makers, scholars, executives of Think Tank institutions, and donor agencies.

GGTTTI 2020 provides a ranking based on three major categories, namely by region/region (8 sub-categories), based on research focus (15 sub-categories), and based on special achievements (20 sub-categories).

A total of 37 Think Tank institutions from Indonesia were also assessed in the 2020 GGTTI. In addition to the Partnership, there are 8 other institutions from Indonesia that received rankings from various categories and sub-categories in the 2020 GGTI.
